Head of Creative Services

We are opening a rare senior vacancy in our Jersey office for the newly-created role of Head of Creative Services, to support the continuing growth of our thriving digital agency.

Webreality is celebrating 25 years in business as a digital agency. We service over 175 clients, with multiple project teams working on website builds, digital marketing campaigns, social media strategies, content production and custom software development.

The role

In this full time position, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing our team of talented creatives. You’ll collaborate with the Client Services team to ensure that creative outputs consistently meet client expectations. Acting as a bridge between the Creative Director and the wider creative team, you’ll champion design excellence, operational efficiency and a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

Team leadership and development

  • Line-manage, mentor and support the Creative Services team to produce exceptional work and grow professionally
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and professional growth
  • Provide constructive feedback during design reviews to ensure the highest standards of quality
  • Lead by example, producing exceptional creative work that delivers real value to our clients
  • Strengthen our creative culture by organising internal knowledge-sharing sessions, retrospectives and team showcases
  • Support the onboarding of new creative team members, ensuring they understand our processes, tools and creative principles.


Client liaison and project delivery

  • Collaborate closely with the Client Services team to understand client requirements and ensure creative outputs meet their objectives
  • Represent the Creative Services team in client meetings, presentations and pitches
  • Balance creativity with practical business considerations, ensuring designs align with project budgets and timelines.


Operational oversight

  • Ensure that project workflows are efficient and deadlines are met without compromising quality
  • Liaise with the Production Manager to allocate resources across projects and manage workloads within the Creative Services team
  • Contribute to forward planning and forecasting to support future workload and team capacity
  • Manage a scalable freelance network to provide flexible, cost-effective support
  • Evaluate and optimise creative tools and systems to reduce friction, improve collaboration and increase efficiency
  • Own creative QA processes and final sign-off for deliverables, ensuring work meets Webreality’s standards for quality, accessibility and performance
  • Work with the Creative Director to define and track creative delivery metrics, using insights to improve team performance.


Creative excellence

  • Produce creative work for clients to the highest standards
  • Champion accessible, high-performance and user-centred design solutions
  • Support the Creative Director in defining and driving the creative vision of the agency
  • Establish and maintain creative guidelines, standards and best practices, ensuring processes and learnings are well documented and shared across the team
  • Lead the development and delivery of Webreality’s own marketing creative, ensuring our brand is consistently represented across all channels
  • Contribute to agency-wide innovation initiatives by encouraging the creative team to explore new tools, formats and techniques
  • Explore AI and emerging tech responsibly, identifying risks, seizing opportunities, and encouraging innovation across the team
What you’ll need

Experience

  • At least 8 years’ experience in a senior creative or design leadership role
  • Relevant people management or supervision experience
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end digital projects, from concept to launch
  • Experience working with or managing freelance creatives
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as Umbraco is advantageous.


Expertise

  • A strong portfolio showcasing creative thinking, high-quality execution and commercial impact
  • Excellent understanding of digital creative principles, UX/UI best practices, digital content, accessibility and performance optimisation
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with design systems.


Leadership and collaboration

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a creative team, providing mentorship and feedback that drives quality and growth
  • Comfort in working with multidisciplinary teams, including strategy, client services and development
  • Skill in balancing creativity with business goals, budgets and timelines
  • Exemplary communication skills with experience presenting to clients and stakeholders.
